Smart phone app for alcohol use disorder

This was the first standalone smart phone app intervention for individuals with an alcohol use disorder, the Location Based Monitoring and Intervention for Alcohol (LBMI-A). Participants who used the LBMI-A significantly reduced their drinks per drinking day and heavy drinking days. Compared with the online Drinker’s Check-Up plus bibliotherapy,  participants who used the LBMI-A had more days abstinent from alcohol.
